Hello fellow translators, proof-readers, members and guests,

Over the past year, InternationalFAQ has been in a semi-hibernation mode. Real life happened, and our personal inactivity has led to the group being inactive, too.

However, Felizias and I, mondscheinsonate, have been busy making plans on how to get the group rolling again. We think our translators, proof-readers and readers all deserve a fresh start.
Our plan consists of several steps to update and reboot the group as a whole.

:bulletblue: Felizias joined me as my co-administrator to help out with the reboot of the group and with all the other admin activities. Let's all welcome her to the team and thank her for the hard work she has already put into the group behind the scenes!

:bulletblue: Recently, we checked in with all our translators and proof-readers to ask whether they are still willing and able to fulfill their tasks. The majority of volunteers did not respond or was not able to stay with us however, so we are putting a lot of efforts into recruiting new translators and proof-readers in the process of rebooting the group. If you would like to join our team or see who our team consists of, check out those links. :)

:bulletblue: We are updating the most important journals regarding signing up as a volunteer, our team and our mission statement, to ensure they are in line with the rest of the updates to the group.

:bulletblue: To make life easier for translators and proof-readers, we're creating a spreadsheet reflecting the status of translation for every active language. Translators and proof-readers will be able to update the sheet after each finished piece of work they have done. This will create an overview for you to see how much work our group and each of you has achieved already, and where there are gaps to fill with translations.

:bulletblue: We are promoting the group in forums and via other groups. We're currently recruiting new translators - please spread the word. Do you or a friend speak fluent English and are also fluent in a second language? Don't hesitate and send us your applications or read more about our group and what we do.

We're looking forward to working with you in reviving this group! :la:

Greetings,
Your administrators:
Felizias and mondscheinsonate

Have you ever seen the chibis of AlexanderPaupoff?
They are unique and adorable - and almost everything AlexanderPaupoff draws for her chibis, I want to wear or have as a hairstyle.

So, she's currently running this auction of five of her adoptable chibis!
Check them out and use your chance to get one for yourself before they go back to set prices :la:

If you would rather go with a set price chibi or commission her, check out AlexanderPaupoff's profile, or these adoptables:

TeamWork 2015 had the most number of participants than any other edition of this project, and it was an amazing experience. It was quite a challenge co-ordinating with so many teams over the past seven weeks and till our final chat event last evening, and we’ve never been happier with the result. We were immensely pleased with the dedication and efforts of the teams that participated, and the most challenging part for us was picking winners. However, since the point of the project, above all, was to learn and create, we think everyone that actively participated has done a great job.
We’d like to thank everyone who promoted and supported this edition of the project, contributed prizes and participated in it and helped make it a success. We couldn’t have done it without you guys <3

Without further ado, here are the winners of the three prizes we handed out yesterday...

1st Place

Teacher: Tudalia-Hex
Students: wapowska123, vocaloidgirl365, Skelleste, AlineSaeyens, demondante95

Tudalia-Hex’s team, despite their many members have really exceeded our expectations. Not a single team member dropped out of the project - they all sticked to their team and were dedicated until the end. They all achieved their goals. Tudalia-Hex supported them in individualized ways, too, which must've been a lot of work with so many students. We liked how each of the students took the initiative to create work from previous weeks' lessons when Tudalia-Hex couldn't contact you during one week because of technical difficulties. We thought that was very remarkable.
