" Creativity is not a talent. It is a way of operating. "
- John Cleese
In this new series, I'll showcase deviations I found astonishing and/or really creative; and in most cases - why I thought so.
Designs
To start off, this really cool portfolio theme struck me as very clean and unique. Both the colour scheme and the design elements are perfectly used to make this theme dynamic and fresh.
This amazingly detailed spread shows the process of analog photography neatly. With so many elements on the pages, it keeps good balance and doesn't look cluttered.
I think the designer behind this packaging did a great job. Combining soft and warm colours with simple elements and the very neat logo of the product; this sure is a cool packaging design.
Art
Not only is this keychain wonderfully made - but also has a touching story to it. Check out the deviation to read on!
This rendition of Benedict Cumberbatch in his role as Sherlock Holmes combines perfect colours and a well executed watercolour technique - to make for this beautifully touching painting.
Not only does this dog make for a very beautiful and awesome model - the photographer also got a really nice shot out of this with lovely and soft bokeh, a great depth of field and vivid colours!
And last but definitely not least - a pixel art piece.
This beauty contains an incredible amount of detail. The colours are so warm and comforting, which really fits the mood. Well done!
Any suggestions for the next volume? Maybe a favourite quote about creativity, art or design that I can feature at the start of my journal next time? Feel free to comment!
