Artistle Feature Vol. X: 'Deep in the meadow''Deep in the meadow, hidden far away
A cloak of leaves, A moonbeam ray,
Forget your woes and let your troubles lay
And when again it's morning, they'll wash away.
Here it's safe, here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you.'

This is a guest feature written by mondscheinsonate instead of AlexanderPaupoff .
The reason for this is, that I recently read the Hunger Games trilogy and was so inspired by the books that I just had t
Wanted: Artists to give live lessonsI've been wanting to adress the community about this idea for a while now, so here I finally go!
The big idea
I'm looking for artists here on deviantART who are willing to share some of their experiences, skills and knowledge with the community.
If you're one of those artists, you might want to consider teaching a live lesson on the chat network!
We (Artistle) want to host regular live lessons by different artists about an artform of their choosing.
The audience will be able to ask questions after the lesson and also get feedback on their work given the artist would like to do so.
Your audience, eager to learn
The whole experience is meant to be inspiring and helpful for both the artist giving the lesson as for the audience.
The lessons can be given with all methods possible; including live streaming, using artworks or sketches as examples and interact with the audience to maybe even create something during the chat event.
TeamWork #4 - Sign-up sheetIf you don't know what this is about, please read more about it here.
This sign-up sheet will close on Sunday, 2 November 2014.
Please add a comment below telling us a bit about you, your art and what genre you'd like to teach.
The participants wishing to be your team-partner will reply to your comment. We will then list you two as a team.
Read through the comments written by teachers and see which topic or genre fits your learning-wishes best.
If you found one, simply reply to that comment and we'll match you two as a team.
Please don't comment on this journal for any other reason than signing up for the project!
Please don't comment on this journal to apply as a student, only reply to already existing teacher-offers in the comments.
If there are no teachers left, please consider teaching someone yourself. It can be a lot of fun and I'm sure everyone has
TeamWork #4Dear artists, inspirers, learners and teachers;
welcome to the fourth round of the TeamWork project.
We embraced your feedback from the last rounds, so before we begin the project there will be a week of promotion for the project; then we will open the sign-up sheet and have that open for 2 weeks.
We hope you're ready and just as excited as we are about this!
So tell your friends, watchers and fellow deviants about the project, so we can have a whole lot of fun and learning!
What is the project about?
The aim is to team up two (or more) artists to achieve a close and individual learning-experience.
One of the two will be the teacher, whereas the other will be the student. (But our teachers will learn through this project just as much, I'm sure )
Teachers will present assignments to their students and provide them with tools, techniques and lessons to achieve the goal they both decided on.
In the end we'll pre

TeamWork 2014 - round-upIt's been an amazing month full of teaching, learning and having fun!
Yesterday we had our final chat event where we not only saw most of the teams artworks, but also talked about teaching methods and experiences. We handed out three awards to three of our teams. Here they come, summarized again.
Award for Outstanding Teamwork went to...
anireal and her two students OanaZ and Skarlet-kitten !
They won several prizes, including a winner's badge:
This team obviously had teamwork down. To begin with, they weren't a traditional teacher-student combo, but had three members. anireal dealt with that very well and her students were always open for criticism, references and lessons.
Their final artworks:
Award for Most Overall Improvemen
Challenge me with your commission! :)I'd like to enhance my design skills with every project I take on. I love learning and improving my own work to give clients the best solution at hand.
So I thought taking on new commissions in certain fields would be a great idea to do so!

Group Switch Around Meme Results! The Results!
Apologies for the ridiculously late posting, but here are the results of our first group Switch Around Meme collaboration! We had 50+participants, 150+ individual artworks, and a whole bunch of fantastic final pieces, so make sure to take a look.
Thank you to all the participants, all our helper line-art and coloring artists, as well as the admins who helped me manage this event. This collaboration event was met with a great deal of enthusiasm, so we will likely have more (better-organized) collab events in the future.
These compilations were arbitrarily split up into sets of ten, just so that there wouldn't be one giant file:

Writing On The GoArtist's Toolbox
What I really like about projecteducate is that the articles are not lectures taught in person. Because of this, I can sit in a car and type up my article while waiting on my sister to get done with her art class. Of course, I still have to put the article into Stash and work on coding when I get back into a wifi zone, but 75% of the work is done! Writing when you're out and about really helps you plow through your list of things to write so today I'll teach you some tips and tricks to make writing on the go easy and more enjoyable!
Times to Write
I'm assuming most everybody reading this goes to school or work away from home which means you'll have to commute to work or school. If you drive yourself to work or school, skip over this section for it will have nothing valuable for you. If, however, you ride in a cab or bus or whatever and do not get sick while reading in a moving vehicle, this is for you. The comm

WARNING: Hater/Bully in Creepypasta fandom!Hello, fellow CreepyPasta fans!
I'm making this account only to point out something that made me lose my faith in humanity again.
I'm very sure most of you, who either watch/follow :iconsapphiresenthiss:, :iconxxinfamouswormxx: or :iconcreepypastaamateur: will know what's going on.
I'm not a part of dA community. I just silently watch some artists for their good arts.
I do read AWJTK and I read Welcome To My World comics.
Well, this is about their (mostly Sapphiresenthiss's) rage-boiling troll-hater - axalona.deviantart.com
Everything started with :iconsapphiresenthiss:'s comic called "Adventures With Jeff The Killer".
You may like this comic, or you may not. Not the point.
Basically, out of nothing, Axalona wrote a journal about if she is the only one who dislikes AWJTK and HATES it's fandom (aka hates the people who like it)?
Yes, Sapphiresenthiss reacted a little too much, but - now I'm DENYING everything Axalona claims about it - she DIDN'T send
Silver Soldering ToolsArtist's Toolbox
Silver soldering is one of many different types of soldering, and is a commonly used technique in jewelry-making. There are many different tools that can be used for silver soldering - I will go over the basic tools that I use in my soldering endeavors, but there are certainly a lot more than I will be able to cover in this article!
The first and most obvious "tool" in silver soldering is the solder itself. Silver solder is just that - it is silver alloys that are specifically created to melt at certain temperatures in order to be perfect for varying soldering jobs. The silver solder that I use comes in sheets & is cut into small chips in order to be used. There are different 'levels,' if you will, of solder - most commonly called Hard, Medium, Easy (and I sometimes use Extra Easy).
The difference between the 'levels' is the temperature at which they each melt. Hard solder melts at the hottest temperature, and Extra Easy at th

An event in our chatroom :#ArtistleChat: where we all meet up, share our work and give and receive honest and helpful critique.
The first of them is going to be on

(Check for timezones and your local time for this event here.)
The second of them is going to be on

, and I hope with this we have chosen a good time for our Australian members, as well.
(Check here for your local time for this event.)
