Hello, hello

Here's a little round up of our chat event from earlier this evening for all of you who missed all the amazing fun we had

The event began with the TriviaQuiz based on dA, Artistle, art and artists in general. Here are the questions:

01) What was the exact date on which Artistle was founded?
02) Who are the three original founders of Artistle?
03) What are the dA usernames of the three original founders of dA?
04) Name the two current General Photography CVs.
05) Which museum must you visit to see the Mona Lisa?
06) Which artist is known for chopping off part of his ear?
07) Who painted 'The Scream', which is currently the world's most expensive painting?
08) Complete this famous line: 'To be, or not to be...'
09) In the abbreviation 'CMYK', what do the four letters stand for?
10) Which colours would you have to mix to get a purple tone in paint (not light)?
11) What was the nickname of the famous painter whom the 11th Doctor befriended?*

The answers are at the bottom of the journal. How many could you answer?


The next part of the event was the ArtHunt. The rules were simple: you get 5 minutes to browse through dA to find an image that, according to you, suits a given theme. Everyone posts their choice after the 5 minutes are over and then everyone votes for the image they think suits the theme best. Note, however, that no one was allowed to vote for their own choice.

The themes with the winning choices were:

The final part was a CritiqueRound. Bonelos and mondscheinsonate offered their work for critique. While mondscheinsonate offered a sta.sh link to an image not yet shared on dA, Bonelos offered

She received positive feedback about how deftly she had been able to convey a pearlescent glow on to a very realistic looking flower in a most authentic fashion. Her choice of a muted background that made the flower the hero of the painting was commended. But mostly, she was just encouraged to keep doing her best as she has been.
